Reprint - this copy inscribed by the author on the half-title in a rather shaky hand and dated the year of publication. 8vo. 219pp. Black boards lettered in gold at the spine. Illustrated with three maps and fifty-four photographs by the author. Paperstock a little tanned, else a fine copy in lightly rubbed and fractionally dust marked non-price-clipped dust wrapper. A scarce inscribed re-issue of Thesiger's second book, an account of the eight years the author spent living with the indigenous people of the marshlands of southern Iraq.
