Both the Camp David Accord between Jimmy Carter and Anwar Sadat and the 1977 attack and hostage situation in D.C. in 1977 owe their outcome to this Egyptian diplomat, who served as their ambassador to the U.S. from 1973 to 1984. Superb PS, 5" X 7", n.p., n.y. Near fine. Minor paper clip indent at upper left. Glossy head-and-shoulders portrait of the bespectacled diplomat in suit and tie, boldly signed in black fineline at lower right.
