A short typed letter (signed) in blue ink on his engraved Oscar Hammerstein, 2nd letterhead (from 10 East 63 Street, New York City dated July 17, 1957) to Vivian [Ellis] who created more than 60 English stage musicals and was behind many of the popular songs which thrilled listeners before and after WW2. The text is as follows: Vivian Ellis, Esq., 4 Campden Hill Gate London w.8., England Dear Vivian: Thank you for your kind and thoughtful birthday cable. We all miss you and send our love.
