Clean and unmarked text pages. Moderate bumping to wrap edges and three or four stain on front cover. In protective pastic sleeve. Photos upon request. Emma Cushman was smitten at 18 and had affair with the famed stage actress Charlotte Cushman (who had multiple female lovers) during the middle of the 1800's. In order to stay close to Charlotte, the actress suggested that Emma marry her nephew, Edwin Cushman, which she did. Together they had five boys.
