Bevel-edged boards, full cream velum binding, gilt decorations and titles, marbled end-papers. Boards are very good but generally dulled with age and handling. Binding very good. Top page edges are gilt; outer and lower page edges are untrimmed and browned with age. Matching two volume set in contemporary binding. Shires & Provinces was published in 1926 and is number 68 of 100 copies. More Shires & Provinces was published in 1928 and is number 142 of 200 copies. Therefore, it is safe to assume that there were only 100 of these special two volume sets produced.Both are signed by Lionel Edwards and "Sabretache", in pencil, on the 'limited edition' page. Each volume has 16 colour plates.
