Beschreibung
English soccer star who played full back for Bradford City (1935-37), Arsenal (1937-51) and Crystal Palace (1951-52). Large handsome signature (below which he adds "Arsenal & England") on a special heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p., n.d. Fine. Accompanied by a single-sentence ANS from Scott as well, 1p, 8½" X 3½". On a note from an admirer dated 14 April 1981 and addressed to Scott's famed teammate Walley Barnes (perhaps sent to Scott for forwarding), he boldly pens along the top, "Unfortunately passed away about three years ago" and signs "Laurie."
