The man whose knee bones were the largest diameter of his leg and weighed fifty-two pounds was a popular Barnum circus attraction. Scarce "Mr Isaac W Sprague / The Living Skeleton" in a shaky hand on a 4 3/4" X 2" slip, n.p., n.d. Very good. Minor mounting traces on verso. Accompanied by a striking carte-de-visite photograph, 2" X 4", n.p., n.d. Very good. No backstamp. Sepia-tone image of Sprague in his circus costume, standing alongside his wife and child.
