This comedian and actor won five Emmys for his role as Deputy Barney Fife on television's "The Andy Griffith Show" (1960-65); followup films include "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" (1964), "The Reluctant Astronaut" (1967) and "The Shakiest Gun in the West" (1969). "My very best wishes / to Donald Burnell / from / Don Knotts" large and bold in blue fountain pen, irregular (roughly rectangular) 3½" X 2½" slip, n.p., n.y. [ca. 1970]. Very good. Scotch tape stain at each corner. Accompanied by a superb 9¼" X 7½" glossy scene from the 1971 film "How to Frame a Figg" showing a squealing Knotts at the ball carousel in a bowling alley.
