Beschreibung
Original signed self-portrait drawn and signed in red ink on a blank sheet of paper measuring 8.5" x 11". The page is also filled top to bottom, left to right, with uninked typewriter text, giving the physical impression of words and letters into the page (not printed/inked onto the page), necessitating serious detective work to decode the text integral to this self-portrait. This drawing is the original that comes from the Burt Britton collection and was featured in the book titled "Self Portrait Book People Picture Themselves" which Britton had published of his collected self-portraits by authors, actors, musicians, photographers, artists, and cartoonists that he admired (this portrait appears on page 90 of the book).
