Written, designed and illustrated by Ian Archibald Beck (born 31 July 1947 in Brighton). Publisher's original printed wrappers. A fine copy. Some of the illustrations have been hand-covered. A delightful book and quite scarce. This book was published by Dennis Hall at the Parrot Press as a VERY limited edition. The basis for the short 2009 movie of the same name directed by Daisy Gill and starring Laurence Beck, Marianne Borgo and David Burke which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009. Ian Beck is an English children's illustrator and author. In addition to his numerous children's books, he is perhaps best known for his cover illustration on Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album.
