This autobiography was written towards the end of his playing days. First edition, first printing of Three Straight Sticks by R.E.S. Wyatt, published by Stanley Paul in 1951, fully illustrated with black and white photography. A near fine copy, signed by the author on an England Test Cricketers bookplate in blue ink to the title page, feint stamp 'John D. Pickering, 88, Morton Street, Carlisle', to the front free end paper, with minor handling wear and rubbing to the black cloth bound boards, the text block with some toning to the top edge. The very good unclipped wrapper with fading to the spine, white paint traces to foot of the spine, chipping to the spine tips and knuckles of front and rear flap folds, some pushing and creasing to upper edge of front panel, closed tear to lower edge of front panel and browning to the rear panel.
