Red cloth. Tall octavo. 386, xxx pp. Dust jacket. Illustrated. Fourth printing. Inscribed by the author and also by the conductor and composer, Walter Damrosch. Damrosch was the long time director of the New York Symphony Orchestra and was instrumental in the creation of Carnegie Hall. He invited Tchaikovsky to its opening in 1891 and gave the American premieres of his Symphonies No. 4 and 6. A good copy with some light spotting to the cover and some rubbing and wear to the spine.
