("Susan D. Durant") 2 pages (verso and recto), London, 22 April, ny on her engraved 3, Bryanston Place, W. letterhead to Mrs. Sumner. 6" x 3 3/4". Traces of previous mounting. Very good. Durant sends a photograph to Mrs. Sumner. In part: "I shall however be much flattered if you think it deserves a place in your collection.I am most obliged to you & Mr. Sumner for your kind reception." Durant (1827-1873) was a British sculptor and artist. Studied with the French sculptor Henri de Triqueti. Some of her works are in the National Portrait Gallery. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 2221391
