The message side is imprinted "Fannie Hurst, One West Sixty-Seventh Street, New York 23, New York". Typed message dated February 3, 1965 to Mrs. Elston signed by Fannie Hurst. Fannie Hurst (1889-1968) was an American novelist and playwright. In this brief note she thanks a correspondent for supporting historical preservation in New York.
