The first chapter analyzes how the 1960-64 rear-engine Chevrolet Corvair came to be built with a suspension compromise that could make the car very difficult to control.Teague earned his law degree at Georgetown University and served as clerk of the House Committee on Public Works, now the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. In that capacity he was keenly involved in transportation safety.
