Faversham (1868-1940), born February 12, 1868, London, England; died April 7, 1940, Bay Shore, Long Island, New York; made his Broadway debut January 17, 1887 in "Pen and Ink"; played Romeo to Maude Adams' Juliet before becoming a star on August 19, 1901 in "A Royal Rival"; his most famous role was Jim Carston in "The Squaw Man" but he preferred Shakespearean roles; film career 1915-1937: "The Right of Way" 1915; "One Million Dollars" 1915; "The Silver King" 1919; "The Man Who Lose Himself" 1920; "The Sin That Was His" 1920; "Lady by Choice" 1934; "Becky Sharp" 1935; "Arizona Days" 1937.
