On verso is stamp of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Huntley adds an 11 line commentary listing Franklin's performances on March 31, 1953, mentioning Franklin dancing the role of Stanley in "A Streetcar Named Desire." Franklin (1914-2013), born June 13, 1914, Liverpool, England; made debut at the Casino de Paris 1931; signed as premier danseur of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo 1938, and became ballet master 1944; created role of Stanley in Valerie Bettis' "Streetcar" 1952; became director of National Ballet and its school 1952; featured in two films: "The Gay Parisian" 1942; "Spanish Fiesta" 1942; "Your Show of Shows" 1950 TV.
