His novel, 'What Might Have Been', was a major influence for George Orwell's classic, 'Nineteen Eighty-Four'. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding, with paper covered boards. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with spotting and discolouration to cloth. Boards age toned to perimeters. Tail of front joint a touch strained. Internally, firmly bound.
