Addressed to Lincoln collector/scholar H.M. Povenmire. On pictorial letterhead of "The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company," Warren tells this Lincolnist, "Thank you very much for calling to our attention the copy of the New York Herald which you have in your possession. We are very glad to add this information to that which we already have." Bold full signature. Warren (1885-1983), a prolific Lincoln essayist and author, became director of the Lincoln Historical Research Foundation (later named after him) in 1928, serving there until 1956. MONAGHAN 3459.
