The authors are veteran sailors and adventurers and lived on South Georgia for five years as the island's only permanent inhabitants. During both summer and winter they explore the area on their yacht, and their expeditions include skiing, mountaineering, and glacier travel to reach remote areas of and cross the island. Beautifully illustrated with full color photographic illustrations and maps. Large hardcover, 10x11 inches, 256 pages, maps on the end papers. Very good plus condition, both book and jacket.
