Publisher's cloth with gilt-stamped vignette on the front board and title on the spine; top edge gilt. Spine with just a touch of sunning, else a very bright binding; contents clean. This is Waugh's final piece of fiction, originally published in Esquire in 1962, this is a short story featuring a protagonist of several earlier novels.
