Drawing on personal family memories as a daughter of Cypriot refugees, and from her experiences working at a refugee center in Athens, Lefteri tells the story of an artist and beekeeper couple, one blinded, who escape from war in Aleppo to journey through danger to Yorkshire, England, where they try to adapt.
