356p octavo, illustrated. A very good copy in a good dust jacket, nicked at the corners, lightly chipped at the spine head. Laid in are three hand written letters (one a short note) from Cecelia Beaux with mailing envelopes dated 1938,' 39,and '41 to artist Prentiss Taylor, known for his illustration for the works of Langston Hughes and for his work on the broadsides by Golden Stair Press of which Taylor and Hughes were the founders. Taylor designed the Scottsboro Limited poems. The 3 letters deal with regrets on not being able to attend his exhibitions and one requesting copies of a piece of work.
