275pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Burgundy grained buckram with the title gilt stamped on the front board and backstrip. Near fine. Name in ink on the front free endsheet. Fold-out 'Map of Cowley, Wyo.' [40 cm x 28 cm] present and in nice condition. Inscribed in the year of publication on the title page: 'Best Wishes, Mark N. Partridge July 20, 1967.' Self-published history of this northern Wyoming Mormon outpost, named for the Apostle, Matthias F. Cowley. Cowley and the Bighorn Basin was one of the last Mormon coloinazation efforts and one of the farthest outpost of 'Mormon Country,' it was also home to the LDS School, The Big Horn Academy.
