First American edition, limited to 250 specially-printed and bound copies, of which this copy is hand-numbered 146 and signed by the author on a special limitation page inserted in front. Octavo. 311 pages. Publisher's quarter cloth-backed maroon boards, lettered and decorated in gilt. Top edge gilt. Light to moderate shelf wear to the edges of the boards, more so at corners; light fraying to spine ends; front hinge broken but the textblock remains tight; slight toning to contents.
