The green cover is lightly soiled with a couple of very small spots on it, the corners are bumped and the top and bottom of spine are worn with slight tears; the title is in black on the front cover and spine. The endpapers are aged with the price it was sold for in pencil ($95.), there is a presentation slip inscribed by the author tipped in on the first free page. The interior is lightly age yellow, but in wonderful shape. The frontispiece is of I believe a young Farnham, there is also a picture of his Mother to whom the book is dedicated to. There are many pictures of houses, certificates, ships and at page 236 a page of "Whalemen's Shipping List". 242pp.(enclosed with sale will be the slip of when it was sold for $95.
