Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. 211 Pages/. Stated: First Edition. No dust jacket. This book is a memoir of the author's childhood as the son of a missionary in pre-revolutionary Shanghai, China. The book comes in dark brown boards with gold lettering on the spine and a gold illustration on the front cover. The book's exterior has one moderately worn corner, very small worn spots at the base of its spine, the remnants of a small stain on the left edge of the rear cover, some rubbing on both front and rear covers and some foxing on the closed book's bottom and right page edges. The interior book has a former owner's name at the top of the first page in from the cover, and some foxing/mold staining inside the front and rear covers. Outside of these items, there are no further visible detriments or visible extraneous markings or distractions throughout the book. The book's printing thus, is in a very well-preserved and enjoyable condition and the book's bindings remain tight and therefore are sound.
