Wood engravings by Allen Lewis. Measures approximately 7.25 x 8.75 inches. Dust jacket has a few short tears, mild edge wear, a little chipping, and moderate dampstaining. Top corner is clipped, but bottom corner shows $2.50. Jacket is in a new protective Brodart cover. Boards are in very good condition, but there is some damage in the spine well on the rear (see photo). Spine is tight and square. Pages are clean and crisp. Inscribed with best wishes / Rachel Field / 1932 on the first free end page. No other writing inside. No funky odors. Good/excellent condition. 1932 Newbery Honor.
