A very good copy of the stated first hard cover edition, lacking the dust-jacket, signed by Paul Engle on the front free endpaper. Previous owner's bookplate to front endpaper previously removed, with ownership name blacked out below. A couple of small stains atop front endpaper, with discoloration to front and rear endpapers, as from aging of binder's glue. The text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the binding still rather bright and fresh in appearance, with minor wear at the extremities and some dulling to the gilt lettering on the spine.
