octavo, bound in original pebbled cloth covered boards with moderate wear, front and back joints weak but still attached to text block, there are some newspaper clippings pasted on front pastedown of games. Title page is signed by author in ink, note lower down in ink says "Wm . Forsyth Ex Champion of Canada". Forsyth's (apparent) signature in pencil is on front free endpaper. Some foxing inside, some notes in ink and pencil on some pages, moderate soiling inside from use and handling. Generally good, but weakness of binding makes it fair overall.
