Stated First Edition. Once listed, this will be the Only signed copy for sale anywhere on the Internet. The inscription is on the first front end paper in very small letters. It reads: 'Georgia from Daisy.' You can see the textured green covers in the photos. They are exceptionally clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is very bright. The edges and corners are in very good shape. There's a little crinkling at the top edge of the spine. The page edges are quite clean (there is one small thin spot on the middle page edge). The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. Note that the front cover does bow out a little bit. The pages are very clean. I've scrolled through them a number of times and the only spot of soiling I'm seeing is on the blank first front end paper a few inches below the signed inscription (see photo). The bottom corner of seven consecutive pages must've gotten folded in a little bit because there is a small crease there now. It's just off the tip. I didn't see any other creasing anywhere else in the book. There are no placeholder creases. There are no markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The dust jacket is in very good shape as well. You can see it in the first few photos. It is very clean. I don't see any soiling. There are no tears. The only wear is the same crinkling at the top edge of the spine. The bottom edge looks perfect. The flaps are in solid shape. They're very clean. There is a very thin crease at the top edge of the rear flap, and a teeny tiny loss there just adjacent to the middle edge. The jacket is not priced or clipped. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. From the dust jacket: 'A simply told, beautifully characterized novel about a sophisticated advertising woman, who found much to learn and admire among the Quakers-- and saved her marriage from disaster.' The writer Dorothy Canfield Fisher is quoted on the rear cover: "An exquisitely spiritual-minded theme, clearly, delicately, and gracefully wrought into a realistic novel, of real people.
