Publishers' orange cloth with black titles to spine and upper board, in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket with illustration matching frontispiece. Covers clean and bright, and a little rubbed at spine tips. Boldly inscribed to ffep "With the Author's Compliments to Mrs. Tisted" and signed "William Y. Darling '43". Light foxing to frontispiece and to text-block edge; no annotation. Jacket lightly soiled to cream rear panel, with a few small nicks & creases to edge and minor loss at head of spine; small "ghost" mark from price label to front flap. A Very Good copy in like jacket. Anonymous publication by William Young Darling, the author also of The Private Papers of a Bankrupt Bookseller.
