Gold is at the bottom of the problems in this fantasy novel that has a golden man, an exotic golden woman, a golden tiger, a golden snake, a secret legion, an alchemist, war battles, and evil. The late Jack Williamson garnered numerous accolades including two Hugos, two Nebulas, and a World Fantasy Award. A nice mass-market paperback original. Partial white glass ring to the rear cover, else very good plus, tight and possibly unread, bright, square and firm in glossy stiff-card wraps with exotic and battle scene front cover art by Ed Emshwiller, all page edges dusky-plum; printed code 72-740 and .50c price still intact to the front cover. *(Crisp spine with NO fading and NO creases.) 157 pages; plus 2 pages of ads to the rear.
