Publisher's original black cloth, pictorial front cover, pictorial pastedowns and endpapers, inner and outer hinges fine, head and foot of spine slightly rubbed with some minor loss, damp stain to spine affecting lower edge of textblock. While not a brilliant copy inscribed copies seldom appear on the market. Louise Saunders had 5 daughters. The recipient was Margaret F. ("Peggy") Frothingham Buck.
