Evergreen cloth covered boards with gilt-stamped lettering and gilt outline of the lakes on the front board panel; gilt lettering and graphics on spine. Upper external page edges are tinted. Two-toned map illustrations on end papers. Upper edges and corners at head and tail of board spine are crimped and scuffed and close to fraying on the corners. Front board panel has several scuffs along the fore-edge and lower edge; upper edge of front panel has a bump near the front spine corner - see photos. Lower front and back fore-edge corners have small rub-throughs. External side and lower edges are age-toned as are text pages. No internal marks or tears. Text block is sound. Dust jacket is scuffed and lightly soiled overall, more so with darker smudging on the back panel. Loss at head of jacket spine includes over 1/3 of the title. Tail of jacket spine has loss across width including part of publisher's name. Fore-edge folds are creased, fore-edge corners are rubbed and with closed vertical tear up to 1" along the folds. Lower edge of front jacket panel has a 1/2" diagonal closed tear at the center. Upper and lower edges, including inside flaps, are chipped and with adjacent horizontal creasing. Not price clipped.
