Beschreibung
First edition. Bookplate of the noted collector Frederick Skiff, very near fine in a near fine dustwrapper. Inscribed by the author to Skiff, quoting a passage from the book: "There is no surer test of character than the problem a mind extracts from a difficulty (p. 78). Rupert Hughes, Greetings to Frederick W. Skiff." Hughes, uncle of Howard Hughes, was one of the great early screenwriters. Very scarce either in jacket, or signed by the author.
