A lengthy inscription on the title page to White House Food Coordinator Mary Kaltman (pictured on p.119) by Lady Bird Johnson, and signed by Lady Bird and Lyndon Johnson. Dated "Christmas 1966" in Lady Bird's pen. Red cloth boards. Shelf wear largely on bottom of front board, 1/4 inch from corner rubbed through to inner cardboard, and 1/4 inch from bottom corner of rear board rubbed down to a thin layer of white cloth. Corners and ends of spine bumped. Otherwise a tight crisp copy, unread with square page corners. Dust jacket torn along front spine hinge from bottom 2/3 of way up (book is 10 1/4 inches tall), and from top of front spine hinge 3/4 inch down. Two other 3/4 inch tears on top front, a 1/4 inch diagonal tear across top front corner; small tears and chipping to edges of back of dj.
