INSCRIBED AND SIGNED on the front free endpaper recto by the author to his son three weeks after publication: "To Jack, From his Papa, who loves him, Tarzana Ranch, Nov 21, 1921."Condition: Cloth scuffed and with a few stains, spine ends pushed and frayed, joints starting, corners rubbed, other edgewear. Both hinges cracked, front free endpaper leaf and half-title leaf detached but present.
