Smith from John Le Carre with best wishes August 71'. Whilst we have been unable to discover more about 'Mr Johnson', we do know that Le Carre had been well-supported by the firm of W. H. Smith in his early career. Binding nice and tight with minor rubbing and creasing to the cloth to the spine. Pages very nice and clean. A near fine, tight clean copy in fine, very slightly rubbed, price-clipped dustwrapper. Inscribed copies in the year of publication of his novels are very scarce and this is a very nice copy indeed.
