Lacking jacket. Red cloth binding with some marking to boards and fading to spine. Light browning to pages, otherwise clean throughout. Inscribed and signed by the author to front free endpaper: 'Iris and Hervey, in friendship, Richard Church, August 1955'. First book in Church's three volume autobiography, it was followed by The Golden Sovereign in 1957 and The Voyage Home in 1964. Overall condition is Very Good Minus.
