First edition of Elmslie's first book, published in an edition of 300 copies. 34 pp. Staple-bound wraps with dust jacket. The jacket was originally glued under the flaps to the front and rear covers; the glue has come undone on the front flap. Small ink mark on rear cover, else a fine copy. Signed by Elmslie on the title-page and dated 1963 and additionally inscribed across the front flap, inside front cover, and front flyleaf, "for Rosalinde / with love / from KSE."
