Marie and Queenie were Haggard's god-children and the daughters of Dr Stevens who was Haggard's friend and surgeon. In publisher's blue cloth with gilt lettered spine and cover, black end papers. 16 full page illustrations including the tissue guarded frontispiece by Byam Shaw. Four page publisher's catalog at rear. Scott 39 : Whatmore F25. London: Longmans, Green and Co., (1903), 463 pages.
