"First Printing" stated therefore 1st edition, Signed "With All Good Wishes, Loyd Haberly, Durham, 1949" on half title page, toning with light soiling to edges of text block - light rubbing to top/bottom edges of spine and top/bottom corners of boards - a little toning to pages, dj now enclosed in mylar wrap shows edge wear, light soiling. fading to spine, scuffing to folds and a number of tape-repaired tears (to verso) - tears, small chips and creasing to top/bottom edges of front panel with a 11/4" wide x 13/8" deep scuff to top right edge - 23/4" wide x 41/2" deep piece missing from bottom edge of rear panel - 15/8" wide x 11/8" deep piece missing to top edge and 13/4" wide x 2" deep piece missing to bottom edge of spine - original price intact, illustrated with black & white reproductions of some of the Artists paintings, included is a longer 2 page newspaper clipping dated Sunday, November 22, 1981 with a biography of George Catlin and announcing an exhibit of the Artists work at the Amon Carter Museum in Ft.Worth, TX, this was enclosed in a plastic wrap so did not stain the book.
