Small magazine and newspaper photographs and clippings tipped to front flyleaf (recto and verso), dedication page, table of contents verso, lower part rear pastedown and rear of rear flyleaf occasional inoffensive inked margin lines. A tight and decent first edition of the autobiography of the noted American illustrator best remembered for "I Want You!" (1877-1960) -- decent despite lack of dust jacket and addition of magazine images. At center of the half-title page, he boldly pens "To Joana / J.M.F." in black ink.
