A spy novel set in 1941 London that has surrendered to, and is occupied by the Germans. Fine in about fine dw with just the slightest hint of fading to the red lettering on the spine. Laid in is a hand-written letter (both sides) from Deighton to Colonel R.O. Bellin in Cranston, Rhode Island. In the letter, Deighton expresses his fascination for all things aviation, particularly Zeppelins, and regrets not living in London at the moment, so he cannot meet the Colonel when he visits.
