Signed presentation from Eliot on the front endpaper, to Minnesota Governor Harold Edward Stassen: "To Harold Stassen with all good wishes from George Fielding Eliot." Stassen [1907-2001] is probably best-known for being a perennial U.S. Presidential candidate- seeking the GOP nomination ten times since 1940. An uncommon book, especially signed or in a dust jacket.
