This is the Simon & Schuster 1950 first edition hardcover. As noted in ISFDB, there is no statement of edition or printing on its copyright page, and it has the original $2.50 price on the bottom corner of its jacket's front flap. It is signed on its title page by its author, "Will Stewart aka Jack Williamson". The book is in near fine condition, marred only by light wear on its spine ends, plus 3 light bumps on cover edges. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn, with bright silver titles on its spine. Pages are unworn and -- other than the author's signature -- unmarked. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is in very good condition: whole and bright, marred only by a faint dampstain along the bottom 1.5" of its back flap fold, a 3/4" closed tear with related crease on its front top edge, and some traces of wear on the ends of its flap folds. (Simply noted: this is the jacket currently pictured at this book's listing on ISFDB.) I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.
