(Taipei, Taiwan: The Office of the President 1959). First Edition. SIGNED COPY. Publisher's brown boards with gilt spine lettering and dyed orange top edge. To the front board is a printed cream label, bordered in gilt with dark brown lettering: Madame/Chiang/ Kai-Shek/ ./ Selected Speeches/ 1958-1959. A neat name on the front paste-down and slightly marked end-papers (likely caused by the glue used in the manufacture of the book) otherwise VG indeed. The D/W is slightly soiled, frayed to the top edge and with a closed tear extending from the foot of the front joint into the spine panel. This has been neatly re-inforced on the verso with archival repair tape. SIGNED ON THE HALF-TITLE BY THE AUTHOR AS "MAYLING SOONG CHIANG". Scans invited. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 355490717544
