Beautifully signed by Stephen King at title page: "Stephen King, 5/3/80." Underscored, and with line through printed name. Rare early signature contemporaneous with the printing of this title. Very attractive. Signed at the Kubla Khan-ate Convention held May 2-4, 1980 which featured Stephen King, artist Boris Vallejo, and 4E Ackerman. Included is ephemera from signee: an original 3.5" X 4.5" photograph of SK and Vallejo with printed details at back, and an event name tag. Kubla Khan were a series of conventions in Nashville founded by Ken Moore under the auspices of the Middle Tennessee Science Fiction Society. There were thirty conventions in the series from 1973 to 2002 and sci-fi author Andrew Offutt was emcee for all. Pictorial wraps moderate cover, corner, edge wear, cant, spine crease. Original face without features cover art on black shading to silver background; matching image at spine. Pages very good, toned. Bind good, intact.
