Brightly illustrated dust jacket shows a couple chips and wear to head and tail of spine. Inscribed by the Blumenthal on the FFEP. Inscribed by George Blumenthal to the then-Managing Editor of the New York Times: "To Edwin L. James / With Best Wishes / George Blumenthal / July 23, 1936". Uncommon in dust jacket. Cloth. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Burgundy cloth with bright gilt lettering and trim on front cover; if lettering on spine was once gilt, it is now completely rubbed away, but title is still readable. Corners and spine ends somewhat bumped and worn, spine is a little sunned, cover shows light rubbing. Binding beginning to crack at a couple of places in the text, but all pages are present and secure. Pages somewhat tanned but clean, no markings. 336 pages plus illustrations.
